ASTM A106 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipes are combined with elevated temperature properties and offers higher formability and weldability. It has the carbon composition that makes it ideal for application in elevated temperatures. It is from the austenitic family. Unlike other grade pipes and tubes, it offers great toughness at higher temperatures.

The carbon composition provides great resistance to oxidation. Moreover, it is prone sensitization. Therefore, in intergranular corrosive environments, these pipes and tubes can be used.

Furthermore, carbon steel pipes and tubes offer great service in stress corrosion cracking environments, even in the higher presence of chloride containing environments. These pipes and tubes are also processed from metal treatment operations for attaining desired properties. Importantly, A106 pipes and tubes offer service in the pressurized environments. Because of these treatments down temperature properties get increased. Also, this treatment remover concerns in carbide precipitation range.

However, ASTM A106 Carbon Steel Pipes & Tubes cannot be exposed directly into heat treatments. It is performed to achieve magnetic properties. The manufactured carbon pipes and tubes are processed from industrial finishing process for attaining additional properties.
