Stainless Steel 304/304L Pipe Fittings

Stainless Steel 304 is a standard 18/8 SS. It is considered as highly versatile as well as mostly used SS. It shows brilliant forming as well as welding features due to which it is used in a number of industries. SS 304L is a low carbon grade and do not need post-weld annealing. It can be used in high-temperature applications due to its carbon content. The austenitic structure of this grade offers great toughness even at cryogenic temperatures.Stainless Steel 304/304L Pipe Fittings is excellent for use in a wide range of environments and corrosive media. It is subjected to crevice & pitting corrosion in warm chloride-containing environment and stress corrosion cracking at 60 degrees C. It shows resistance

towards potable water up to 200mg/L chloride and reducing to 150mg/L at temperature 60 degrees C. SS 304 Pipe Fittings shows good oxidation resistance in the service up to 870 degrees C. Grade 304L makes it resistant to carbide precipitate and it can be heated in this temperature range. This fitting shows high strength at the high temperature and used for structural or pressure involving applications above 500-800 Degree C.

Stainless Steel 304L can be heated to 1010-1120 degrees C and then rapidly cools down. Thermal treatment cannot be used to harden this grade.

Stainless Steel 304 Pipe Fittings shows excellent weldability and can be welded by various standard fusion techniques either with or without filler metal.

Some of the testing’s are- tensile test, hardness test, positive material test, IGC test, etc. then test certificate is made and on customer request, we supply these test certificates to the customer.
