SMO 254 Flanges

Grade details:
SMO 254 is composed of nitrogen and molybdenum content. It is a blend of alloys that are made using super austenitic SS. However, it has a low amount of carbon composition. This grade has excellent resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion resistance even in the higher concentric chemical containing environments. This grade has great resistance to corrosion fatigue under cyclic conditions. Moreover, it is toughest grade than conservative grades. 254 has higher ductility and impact strength. This grade contains a higher level of chromium content. This makes it ideal for use in carbide precipitation environments. Moreover, SMO grade has higher work hardening rate.

For machining, only standard machines are used. the grade is heat treatable and also ideal for annealing operation. After heat treatment operation it turns to non-magnetic in nature. Thus, cold working is performed to retain magnetic structure with desired mechanical strength. SMO 254 Flanges are high alloy austenitic SS designed for use in marine water. These are used in belligerent chloride bearing medium. These flanges are known for many prominent properties some of those are-

Testing details- 
We perform different testing on manufactured products for quality assurance. The tests are Hardness test, Chemical test, Mechanical test, Positive material test & Radiography test etc… The packaging of SMO 254 Flanges includes wooden cases, pallets, cartons, and woven bags. This packing is completely rolled out with a thin film of plastic to prevent rusting and corrosion.
